Diablo 4 Loot and Materials: U4GM War Plan Tips

Diablo 4's endgame can feel like a pile of half-finished errands, especially after you reach the point where every run needs to count. The War Plans system gives that routine some shape. At the Command Table in Temis, within the Skovos region, you can queue up to five activities and tackle them in one planned route. You're still running content you already enjoy, but the system adds progress, activity experience, and useful bonuses along the way. That makes D4 items and crafting materials easier to work towards without turning every session into a shopping list.

Build a Route That Fits Your Session

The smart move is to choose activities that match what your character needs right now. Chasing Glyph levels? Put Nightmare Dungeons near the centre of the plan. Short on boss materials? Add Whispers, Helltides, or a Lair Boss route. Got half an hour before you log off? Pick quick objectives rather than filling all five slots just because you can. You'll soon notice that a focused playlist feels better than bouncing around Sanctuary with no clear target.

Use the Activity Trees Properly

War Plans are more than a checklist. Completing selected content grants points that can be spent in Activity Skill Trees. These upgrades can improve loot quality, increase material rewards, or add bonuses tied to particular activities. It's worth reading the nodes before spending anything. A bonus that looks small on paper can save a surprising amount of time over several runs, especially when you're farming for a build upgrade or preparing for a difficult Torment push.

Match Each Activity to Its Best Use

Every endgame option has a job. Helltides are excellent for dense combat and chest farming. The Kurast Undercity rewards players who move quickly, ignite beacons, and build Attunement before the timer runs out. The Pit is tougher and more build-focused, while Infernal Hordes are made for players who enjoy surviving waves and spending earned Aether on reward choices. Lair Bosses remain the clearest way to target certain uniques and collect boss-related materials.

Leave Room for Competition and Chance

The Tower is aimed at players who enjoy chasing times, not just loot. Its shifting floors, ten-minute limit, progression orbs, and Tower Guardian create a very different kind of pressure. World Bosses offer a more relaxed group option and can be worth checking between planned activities. Keep an eye on the map, adjust your War Plan when your goals change, and spend resources where they'll help your current build rather than an imaginary future one. A sensible route, supported by cheap D4 items, can make each evening in Sanctuary feel considerably more productive.
